A Future with Hope

For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.

Almighty God, You have promised that You know the plans You have for us— plans for our welfare and not for harm, to give us a future with hope. In faith, we step forward, trusting in Your guidance. Bless this campaign, that through our generosity and labor, we may build a future where Your love is known, Your mission is fulfilled, and Your people flourish. Unite our hearts, strengthen our hands, and grant us vision to be faithful stewards of Your gifts, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

A Message from Fr. Mike

In 2025 we launched this effort with a goal of raising $1.75 million: to replace the roofs over our church and its two adjoining wings ($450,000) and to pay off the debt on the Woehler Family Center ($1.2 million). Thanks to the generosity of our congregation, we exceeded that goal, with $2.1 million pledged.

Here is where things stand:

New roofs. The roofs over the church and both wings have been replaced and paid for in full.
Debt-free. As of July 2026, the Woehler Family Center is completely paid off. It was a fitting day for a declaration of freedom, and it means the resources that once went to interest and debt service can now go to ministry.
Campaign expenses repaid. We have paid ourselves back for the costs of running the capital drive.
Now: our Rainy Day Fund. We are rebuilding our reserves so St. Thomas is prepared for whatever comes.
Then: our Children’s Education wing. We will repair damaged plumbing and modernize those classrooms to today’s standards, giving our children and families spaces worthy of the faith we hope to pass on to them.

God’s word through Jeremiah, promising Israel a future with hope, extends all the way to us. God has been faithful, and He is positioning St. Thomas for its next fifty years of ministry to San Antonio. Thank you for your generosity and your prayers.
