3. YOUNGER ADULTS BBQ!! This Saturday, August 28th, 5-8:00 PM at the home of Angie and Jason Souder 12723 Terrace Hollow, San Antonio, Texas 78259.

4. The Ministry Fair is Sunday, September 5th.  Come and learn about the St.Thomas ministries available to you this coming year.  There will be an old fashioned barbeque after the 10:30 service.

5. If you need pastoral care or know of someone who does, you may call our newly established Pastoral Care cell phone that is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by a Community of Hope Chaplain -- the number is 210-710-3925.

6. The Daughters of the King will begin a 12-week training course September 19th for anyone interested in becoming a Daughter.  Contact Missy Denney for more information at melindad@me.com.

7. The next Baptismal Preparation Class will be held Saturday, September 11th from 9 am to 12 noon in Gosnell Hall.  We need to know if you plan to attend by Friday, September 3rd -- 494-3507.

8. Youth News - This Sunday, the 29th - *Parent Fall Planning Meeting in the Youth Room.  Dinner will be served.      Sr. High Youth Group weekly meetings will start Sunday, September 5thfrom 6-8:00.        Jr. High Youth Group weekly meetings will start Wednesday, September 8th from 6:30-8:30 PM.

9. Upper Crust Visit to Haven for Hope - Upper Crusters! Plan on coming with us for a walking tour of this new facility We will leave the front parking lot of the church at 9:15 am to carpool to the facility.  Please call the church office - 494-3507 - by September 8th if you plan to attend.

10. St. Thomas Habitat for Humanity build begins Friday, September 10th and we need your help!  Call Lori Harmon (493-8959) or e-mail her at ljharmon84@sbcglobal.net and sign up to work and/or to provide lunches for the workers.  No experience is necessary!
