  • PLAN AHEAD FOR TRAFFIC!  Go to www.alamorma.org for information on planned closures this coming weekend.  Also make sure that you pay attention to the St. Thomas entrances – they keep closing different ones down.

  • Registration forms for Vacation Bible School can be downloaded here.  VBS Registration 2012 or you can call or stop by the church office for a form.
  • Adult helpers are needed for Vacation Bible School June 4 – 8.  Call Cathy Villani with your availability,  494-3507.
  • Thank you to everyone that supported our Tree of Hope! We will be in touch soon to schedule the services you requested. The total raised to date $13,000 of our $20,000 goal. Your support is critical, so please help send our youth on this great trip! Prayers and financial support is definitely appreciated. Thank you in advance.

May

  • Outreach Project – “Diaper Drive for Babies” begins Sunday, May 6.  We are collecting all sizes of diapers to be given through North Central Church Convening (church food pantries) to families struggling to provide for their children.  Please place unopened packages in the purple bins (Costco has $6 coupons right now) in Gosnell Hall.  You may also put a check in the plate and mark it Diapers.   More information is in the May Clarion.
  • May 21 and 28  are St. Thomas Spirit Nights at Willies from 4:00 Until close! Benefitting our Youth Program & Belize Mission Trip!  Located on Hwy 281 (between Thousand Oaks and Brook Hollow). **Note: Please be sure to let them know you are supporting St. Thomas!
  • Thursday, May 17—Men’s Meat Burning, 6:30 pm at the home of Greg Murray, 1503 Tarton Lane—phone 492-6402. Call Victor Rodriguez at 325-4050 for more information. Sign up list and directions are in Gosnell Hall.
  • Thursday, May 17 – The Ladies night out will be held at Alamo Cafe on Hwy 281 at 6:30 pm. Sign up sheet and directions are in Gosnell Hall. This is the final outing until September so come and enjoy the fellowship and the food.
  • Saturday, May 19—St. Thomas  Golfers are scheduled to play at  Vaaler Creek Golf Club outside Blanco, TX.  Cost is $45 including range balls with a 9:00 am shotgun start.  If you’d like to play, contact Steve Scheidker at scheidker@sbcglobal.net by Tuesday, May 15.
  • Saturday, May 19. The Chili Cookoff to raise funds for the Contemporary Service which starts in September.  It’s not too late – we’d love to see you there. Go to Chili cook off 5-19-12 – Legal for more information.
  • Sunday, May 20th immediately after the 10:30 service there will be training for ALL Acolytes.  Lunch will be provided and the session will be through by 1:30 pm.
  • Sunday May 20th from 5:30-7:30 PM.  High School Main Event Night! The cost is $30 including dinner and fun!
  • Monday, May 21.  Vestry meeting in the Conference Room at 6:30.
  • Sunday, May 27th is Pentecost Sunday.  Remember to wear RED.  There will be not Sunday school – but we will have Children’s Chapel.

June

  • Vacation Bible School June 4 – 8.  Call Cathy Villani for information or go to VBS Registration 2012,  494-3507.
  • Saturday, June 9 – Abide in Me IV will be held at TMI-The Episcopal School of Texas.
  • Monday, June 11 – Nancy Springer’s Ordination will be at 6:30 with a reception following.  All members are encouraged to attend.

Other

  • Healing Conference is coming to St. Thomas with The Rev. Nigel Mumford August 24 – 26, 2012. Save the date!
  • The 281 construction continues in front St. Thomas. Remember that the Trailcrest Gate is open at all times. The east side gate will remain closed at all times. If you would like to program the gate into your car or if you would like to purchase a universal remote – come by the church office and we will be happy to help you program your remote.
